Dallas Chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes Offers Scholarship

Established more than 30 years ago, D&M Auto Leasing offers many options to customers and is one of the largest leasing companies in the country. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, D&M Leasing supports several nonprofits around Houston, Dallas, and Grand Prairie, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

The FCA works to develop character and leadership values among student athletes and coaches. It does this teaching through scripture study and mentoring programs. This, in turn, benefits communities because participants strive to make their communities better. With chapters scattered all across the country, FCA has a branch in greater Dallas and Fort Worth.

One project sponsored by this chapter is raising money for the Jim Myers scholarship fund. An offensive line coach and offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1960s, Jim Myers eventually became assistant head coach before retiring in 1986. While with the Cowboys, he helped with FCA activities and raised millions of dollars for the Dallas area FCA ministry. Myers died in 2014. The scholarship provides financial assistance to athletes and coaches attending North Texas FCA camps.
